CAP Infinity Now Open
CAP Infinity is a new series of learning modules designed for professionals in Community Action that meets continuous improvement directives with flexibility in mind. The first course, CAP Infinity Basic, is now live and ready for user access inside CAAP Learn!
What is it? CAP Infinity Basic is a six-module course where you will learn about Community Action foundations, the basics of continuous improvement, goal setting, action plans, data basics, strategic thinking, and problem-solving. By the end, you will know how YOU fit into the mission of Community Action work.
Who is it for? New employee onboarding, frontline staff, and anyone in need of learning Community Action fundamentals.
How do I get it? To access CAP Infinity, you need a CAAP Learn account. Once signed in, select the CAP Infinity Basic and click Enroll!
Why was it created? Community Action leaders brought pain points about the previous continuous improvement methods being time-consuming, outdated, inflexible, and not always applicable for frontline workers. We knew we had the technology and access to create a better solution for giving an alternative, self paced, efficient way to fulfill continuous improvement directive requirements.
How do I complete the course? To complete the course, you must go through all course activities and lessons and turn in any assignments in any modules. At the end of the course, you must complete a course survey. Once the survey is complete, we will review all completed items to ensure you have met all requirements and completed the course. If you missed anything, you will receive an email letting you know what was missed so you can complete those items or items.
What do I get for course completion? You will receive a CAP Infinity Basic certificate of completion digitally once your completion has been verified. Discuss with your supervisor if they would like you to forward them a copy for their records.
How is it being tracked and how can I access which staff members have completed? CAAP will maintain a list of individuals that have been issued completion certificates. The names of staff members that have completed will be sent to the Executive Director/CEO quarterly. If you’d like the information sent to a different staff member please email info@thecaap.org with your organization’s name, staff member’s name, and email. If you have a request for completion of any staff member between reporting please email info@thecaap.org with your organization’s name and the staff member’s name for completion inquiry.
This is a Basic course. Will there be future, more advanced courses? Yes! We are currently developing CAP Infinity Accelerated and CAP Infinity Advanced. These courses will be hybrid and incorporate some virtual strategic cohorts to allow for group discussion so that we can talk about the content's applicability to Community Action.
